The Sussex Conservation District Agricultural Conservation Program provides technical and financial assistance to the agricultural community in Sussex County. Through our financial assistance programs, SCD provides cost-share funds for cover crops and other agricultural best management practices (BMP). SCD also has an air seeder that plants cover crops into standing cash crops for early establishment which improves soil health and water quality. This is part of a larger soil health program providing outreach and education as well as technical assistance with soil health management practices.
