Governor's Urban Conservation Awards Ceremony

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control's (DNREC) Division of Watershed Stewardship's Drainage Program was recognized during the Governor's Conservation Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Delaware Ag Museum in Dover. DNREC was presented with the award for their work on the Delaware Avenue Streambank Restoration Project in Laurel. This innovative project utilized a natural channel design or stream restoration approach created a system that mimics natural conditions. Accepting the award for DNREC was Brooks Cahall - Program Manager, Melissa Hubert - Environmental Planner, Sarah Esposito - Design Engineer, and D.J. Roach - Engineer.
